When it comes to a Chamber of Commerce, some may ask, “What do you do?”  

A chamber of commerce is designed to stimulate commerce by encouraging the exchange of goods and services to create a growing economy.  

The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce does this by working with the Hamilton Economic Development Corporation and the City of Hamilton to improve the financial standing of the community by working with business and industry to locate here.  The chamber also provides referrals, by offering business referrals to people who are new to the city or town.  The Chamber is involved in promotion by promoting the City of Hamilton by participating in mass media promotions that will bring trade dollars to Hamilton.  Another purpose of the Chamber is that we promote positive business and consumer relationships. We, also sponsor ribbon-cuttings for new businesses, education and entertaining programs.

Joining the Chamber is a worthwhile investment in the community and a vote of confidence in the economic future of Hamilton.  

 

The return on that investment is receiving referrals from the Chamber and other members, participating in events, member only sponsorship opportunities, and building powerful, unified efforts to accomplish many community initiatives.

Membership also is about exposure.  We receive hundreds of phone calls and guests in our offices each year.  These visits and phone calls are from local residents and out-of-town visitors inquiring about our businesses and community.  

 

Members also are listed alphabetically on our website Membership Directory.  New members are celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  And there are limitless opportunities exist for members to expose their business through Chamber sponsorships.
